We've done it. We've gone fancy with our newsletter. Don't worry-we are still the same SK6ERS, it's just that we upgraded the way we give you your news with the hopes that it will be a more enjoyable reading experience for you.
SK6ERS on CW Hit Series "One Tree Hill"
We are proud to share with you that on Monday, October 13th, "Hearts In Pain" will appear on the show "One Tree Hill". It's always a thrill for us to hear our music played in public places (like when we heard "Vegas" at PF Changs while eating those awesome lettuce wraps). The insecure part of the brain fears that a patron might stand up and demand a return on their Szechuan potstickers if they don't like the music, but on TV we can't see whose watching, so there's no such insecurity to deal with.
Speaking of TV...
Our drummer Boots has been working his tail off to bring you weekly video blogs from the road, in partnership with our friends at iLike. Each week he has a new special guest on his "show" and you can catch these video blogs on iLike, Facebook as well as MySpace and of course our official website. We sometimes think Boots has been going to film school in his spare time... or at least hanging out with Spike Lee on the side...
Tour Update
The "Celebrating 5 Years" tour is underway and so far, so great. Every night features different songs spanning our first half decade, as well as the chance to see what SK will say next and what the Goose will do next. If you have friends who you think would enjoy our concert or you simply know people who are depressed, we'd love to be the remedy, so please pass a copy of our monthly newsletter along. SK6ERS Announce 2nd Annual New Years Eve Event
We have just announced our 2nd Annual New Year's Eve Extravaganza! This year's show will take place at the beautiful Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT. To keep your night safe and happy, we have some hotel deals which include shuttles to and from the theater from our friends at Madison House Travel! The guys will be playing two sets...one traditional and one with a mystery theme, which will be revealed in next months newsletter.
